ARCHIVES tulane's 32" glory hole
This glory hole was built during the summer of 2000 for Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. The largest opening is 32" in diameter, and the interior diameter behind the heat ring is 38". With an opening as large as this, the last thing a glass blower needs is the heat from the back side of the doors. By designing the last set of doors so that they slide open, the problem is resolved. |
