The
Custom Bench was originally designed as a commission for
Sculptor Gene Koss. Koss specified that this bench would itself
be sculpture, unbroken in design. It would not be bolted to
the floor and therefore would be massive enough to handle lots
of glass on its own. The seat and tool table top are solid oak.
The tool table is not connected to the bench, so it can be moved
out of the way when working on larger glass pieces. Despite
the unconventional appearance, this bench can handle more glass
than you could hope to lift!
